Letters and Sounds for EYFS (Phase 1) (INVITED ATTENDEES FROM BIG SKY NURSERY, BECCLES ONLY)
 
The aim of this session is to support practitioners in introducing phonics to young children in an informed and practical way through the use of the 'Letters and Sounds' materials; and within the context of the revised EYFS framework. It provides an opportunity to engage in practical activities and reflect upon how they can use the Letters and Sounds materials to develop a language rich environment in which children's speaking and listening skills are fostered.

This session aims to make EY practitioners consider what mental health means when working with children in the early years, to give them an awareness about mental health difficulties young children may experience and how they can help children to overcome these.
